a bright red spark in a sea of black
I FINALLY BOUGHT MY DREAM MP3!!!
a Sony HD5 in glorious REDREDREDREDRED

it's the perfect shade of RED. the nokia 8210 RED. my kind of RED.
it was almost a fluke actually, how i finally decided to get the Sony rather than an ipod or creative or iriver or any other brand. i visited official websites, checked out various forums and reviews, personally went down to test out the operational functions on actual products and all tht jazz. i knew what i wanted and what each player had to offer. im almost an expert on mp3s by now ;)
what i realised was that there was not a brand or model of mp3 which had exactly what i wanted. each player had its pros and cons and there wasnt a single one i was entirely satisfied with. i wasnt gonna get it with my own money, and bearing in mind the severe admonitions i received from my mom about my MD being only a few years old and already it's drowned in water and beyond repair (at reasonable costs), which made me all the more careful in choosing a player i love and is going to go the distance (barring drowning).
to cut the long story short, i didnt want an ipod anything cos almost everyone has an ipod something. i didnt want a creative, cos there were just too many cons i think i wont want to live with, AND the fact that they put me on the waitlist for zen neeon for a MONTH due to undersupply, which is unacceptable, and which probably also indicates that its affordable pricing will mean lots of people will or already own one. argh.
and then i laid eyes on the little red beauty.
i am this happy.
the camera flash made my baby look oranger than it really is. it IS a beautiful, beautiful red.
and in case you didnt notice, i wore a red shirt and dyed my hair red to welcome my baby home. :D haha. kidding. it was a queer coincidence. really! i didnt know i was gonna get my baby the day i wore the red shirt.
so after all the homework i did on mp3s and in the end i bought one almost purely based on aesthetics. but then it's Sony lah. other than kinda overpricing, it is also well-known for being of good quality right... how wrong can you go with a sony? and i think its song sorting capabilities are bar none based on what i've researched so far. lefties will also be glad to know that this lil baby was made with you in consideration :)
i dreamed:
the whole bunch of us are at our workplace. D & M are across the main road and waving to me to join them. i take my first step off the pavement and a car shoots out of nowhere into my line of vision to my right. it is about 30cm away from me.
i wake with a start.
