is the fear of predators innate or learned?

i conducted my own experiment, meowing at the nest of birdies perched on the potted plant outside my front door.





no reaction.

one more try.

meeeoww!

utter disinterest in me.

neighbours sighting me meowing at a plant must think im mad. but they cant be too far from the truth. i am after all, meowing at birds.
