things i've learned in recent weeks
- Lush 99.5 is simply lush
- sometimes distance draws people even closer
- charisma is so much more alluring than good looks
- therefore Winnie the white tiger would pick Omar over Gippie to mate with
- an innocuous comment to one person can be compliment of the year to another
- it's a universal phenomenon that people dont give way on the subway/metro/MRT
- hippos can't float and are poor swimmers
- that's cos they have lots of muscle and little blubber. (who would've thought?)
- Japan and Russia never signed a peace treaty to formally end WWII. therefore they are technically still at war
- sometimes friends tell blatant lies to one another
- friends never suspect friends of telling blatant lies
- when the salsa dip says 'Hot' it really means 'No Shit, It's Hot'
- i have a love-hate relationship with the zoo
- if im an animal in the zoo, my regular past-time would be stoning
- how easy it is to forget that the best things in life are free and abundant
- when in doubt whether to laugh or cry, cry first then laugh
- you can run away from Christmas, but you can't run away from the spirit of
- ponchos are much funner than umbrellas. especially if they're yellow
- Heaven's pearly gates must be pretty crowded at the moment

- no one seem to realise that a 'muted celebration' is a contradiction in terms
- if you're damned if you do and damned if you dont, then the obvious thing to do would be to not give a damn
- German nouns can have a grammatical gender of male or female or even neutral(!)
- The author Mark Twain famously complained about German nouns: "In German, a young lady has no sex, while a turnip has. Think what overwrought reverence that shows for the turnip, and what callous disrespect for the girl."
- approx. 7% of humans are diurnally challenged
- it is possible to have eyelashes that are 1.5-2cm long. seeing is believing
